Unfortunatly I let my wife con me into setting up the old 30-30 for this season and we are going to get something the begining of this next year. I am thrilled she is learning to hunt with the same old gun I did but I wanted badly to get her a new or good new/used gun for her that is her own for her first hunt. Still not sure what I am going to get though. I know what I want her to have but I wanna make sure she can handle whatever I get also. Thanks for the follow up Elvis. I have a limb saver so I figure recoils is not going to be an issue if I get something like a 7mm-08 but I just want to make sure she can handle the gun okay.

you never know she may fall in love with the 30/30 and tell you she wants to keep using the lever! now theres a good excuse to get a 7mmwaters for her and then the reloading fun could begin Very Happy
my 1st 2 deer were shot with a good ol 30/30 they are a great gun and I do wish Istill had it.
