That's a very interesting and pertinent point Punkin. We discussed that very point at our last Annual General Meeting and decided to keep our Club Membership at the same level ($60) for that very reason...retain members and try to attract new members.
On the other hand, look at what Golf Clubs charge for membership, and also the price of their green fees...significantly more than what a Gun Club charges, yet people still flock to the golf courses. Personally I think a round of golf is a good walk ruined.
