Welcome. Beer is on Vince, sage old timer advise from Bushy, technical articles by Slim and discipline by Suz. Hint, find a convenient climbing tree. ;-)

She carries a switch and doesn't hesitate to use it.

Hey all! I know this is an older post, but I'm new here so please cut me some slack. |
This is a good place for that, I see lots of "slack" around here hehe.

My reloading room is in a shed out behind the house. Ac/heat and well insulated.
Have my single stage on the left side coming in, and my Dillon progressive on the right. All my powder, primers, and various accessories are in a cabinet just inside the door. I use 30 round ammo cans for once fired brass and coffee cans for brass cleaned and processed ready to prime and load.
It's nice and cozy and peaceful. |
Sounds neat. Post some picts!

Hell I don't bite, (a stout stick is all I need) so was wondering what sort of set up do you have for the heat and a/c? I'd like to air condition my 2 car garage, but it's not insulated and has an attic space. Just wonderin what you did.

Suz,
You weren't asking me but I put R-19 in the walls (2x6 construction) and R-60 in the attic space. I used fiberglass roll insulation but if you want better insulation use foam. (if money is no object) I will be installing a heat pump to heat and cool both the garage and my shop. The shop door is 4" thick with R-18 foam in the door but the garage only has a steel double garage door that I will add 2"- 3" of foam to once it gets installed - waiting on that now.
If you can't insulate then a wood stove is going to be the best way to heat it. For cooling you can use a window unit on the North or East side.

My stuff is scattered between storage, my shop and my bedroom. I need to hurry and get the garage door on (waiting for its arrival) so I can move the stuff out of my shop that belongs in the garage. Then I can finish my shop, put the cabinets up and put my reloading stuff away.
Then I can spend some well earned time at my press.

It really doesn't matter how much space you have. My loading/gun room has 15 feet of bench down one wall and 10 feet down the opposite side. I still run out of room!

I've been relegated back to the garage.
To hot and humid to reload in summer
Weather is cooling down so time to start reloading
