At least once a week, one or more friends contact me in their search for guns and ammo. For the last few months, I have advised them to get what appealed to them. They waited too long and now the market is a bit tight. What can you say? I hope things turn around soon. All the best...

Where do these people live? I frequent several gun stores visiting with friends and window shopping. I see no shortage of either handguns, rifles or shotguns. Ammunition is a bit short, but available if one scrounges some. Reloading components are also available. Granded I have had a backorder in with Midway for 2 months for bullets, but my box is completed except for 140 grain SJHP .38/.357 Remington bullets. I know because I called them the other day and that was all they were waiting for before sending my box of goodies to me...

Oh...I get it Gil. They want YOU to do the lookin'. Right?

Bushmaster,
You are correct, those folks want me to step in and get what they want for them. The used gun market is very tight around here. Seems folks are hanging on to their used guns. I agree, some guns and ammo are available, but you have to beat the bushes. All the best...
Gil

Here in TX, pistol ammo just started to stay on the shelf more than a very hours after it arrives on the shelves. Last month, you could only find 38 special. Black guns and pistols have been selling like hot cakes. The gun show this month was still crowded but not shoulder to shoulder and sales were slower. It looks like the "fire sale" has slowed and the ammo manufactures are catching up. The ammo manufactures have been consuming all the primers and most of the powder. Now that they are catching up, I hope we see some primers in the next couple of months. I don't remember it being this bad when Clinton did his gun ban.
