NICE deer. I have a friend that only uses a long bow and does very well with it. It's a dieing art though.

Dieing art it is...I started with the long bow when I could barely keep the tip from touching the ground...Use to be able to bark squirrels from a tree. Now I would have a problem hitting the broad side of a barn standing inside with all the windows and doors boarded over...

Long Bow shooters deserve a lot of credit..They put in a lot of time to master the Long Bow..I was happy to just hit the bales when I shot one.

Man! that buck has got to rank pretty high in the P&Y list. Anybody got any idea of the score?

In the Great State of Ohio's opinion there is no difference between a "longbow" and a "compound" bow. When you upload a picture to the website, the only bowhunting options are longbow, crossbow, or unknown.

I'm not saying this deer WASN'T killed with a longbow, but it may well have been a compound.

This is another example of the HUGE deer we've seen killed in this state over the last several years. We had one in the area we hunt that was similar to this 4 years ago. He was killed by a truck last year. He had 17 scoreable points and maxed out a 350# scale. The ODNR aged him @ 8 1/2 years. He had been seen during daylight hours less than 10 times over the last 4 years.
