Sabots .30 / .222

I have .308 and 30-06. Is it possible shoot accurate with sabots? Remington makes Accilators, but canÂ´t find any here. I can ofcourse load them my self. It is sensible order sabots from Brownels over Atlantic Ocean to me.

eabco.com sells 30/22 sabots and provides load data too.

I had great succes with getting velocity up over the 4000fps range with a 55 grain V-max but accuracy was just about 2 MOA. It will do a number on a coyote or a milk jug though! Shocked

Thanks Dawgdad. What gun You keep using sabots. 2"-group is not so bad for crows and magpie. KW.

Actually Remington keeps them on their website but they were discontinued in 1998 I found out a while back at a gunshop by the guy working behind the counter told me he loved them for "pest control" and suggested if I did end up getting a 30-06 to load some up as it would be fun. Smile

I shoot them in a Winchester Model 70 30-06. But I am spoiled by sub MOA 110 grain V- max load I shoot in that rifle. I may be able to improve the sabot load by tweeking and testing a bit more but with the 110 load I usually just shoot it. Very Happy
