Yep reminds me of that old American saying; In for a penny, in for a pound; but I never quite understood what a copper coin had to do with an incriment of weights and measures..... Very Happy This is about as good as the other old American saying, penny wise and pound foolish. Same story.... what does a pound of cheese have to do with a penny? Pretty foolish if you think you can buy a pound for a penny.

All you commonwealth folks stop right now, you will bust a gasket. Very Happy Very Happy
Ed

PS, Penny is easier to cut with tin snips after being left on train track. But then again five will get you ten for defacing money.

You are correct Swampy.....the old monetary denominations in Australia were Pounds, Shilling and Pence ₤/s/p.....12 pence to the shilling, 20 shillings to the Pound. I still have some of our old currency to show the grandkids. In The UK they still use the Pound, but instead of shillings and pence it is just New Pence (correct me if I am wrong anyone from Pomgolia).

Pennies on the train tracks......used to do that as a kid all the time.
Very Happy Laughing Very Happy Laughing
