I am still working on getting it. trying to come up with the extra cash.

called the guy this morning and he still has it. so its not sold yet.

for the last 5 years, I have been looking at the colts. they do not go down on price value too much.

in hopes of buying this colt will be a good investment.
if the value of it keeps like they have been, I should be able to make a profit on it if I ever decide to get rid of it. I tend to get attached to things and never let them go.

Thanks for all the post and comments. it has helped me make a decision on buying this.
if I was not able to trade anything to get the price down, there would be no way I would even think about buying it.

Buying things as an investment is a good thing if you also like the item in question.

But, for something like this you should buy it because it means something to you and it appears that it is a good buy today.

The price of items is generally based on what people will pay today not what they paid in the past, or what a book tells you their value is.

Depression glass is a perfect example, people bought the hell out of it 10 years ago, but today it is worth a fraction of what it was back then. That is only one example of many.

So what I am saying is, if ya like it buy it, you will not like it any less 10 years from now, and if you do decide to sell it all you have to do is find a person who values it as much as you do, regardless of the market.

I could not hold my self back on this.

ended up going there and buying the colt 45 gold cup trophy.

I did take a look at the rest of the 45's. and yes, there was some there that was allot nicer looking and probably was better.
I stuck with the colt. the guy even gave me a box of 45 auto 185 grain HI-Shock JHP bullets for it.

after the trade in ,he gave me a little better deal. it came out to be $495.00 + tax.
I can not complain about that.

planning on going out tomorrow for a little target shooting.

Its not as easy to take apart as my Beretta 9mm.
took it apart and cleaned it. it still had some small metal fillings in it. not much, very little, probably would not of hurt anything, but its clean now.

now. I just need to buy a relaoding RCBS 45 auto die set.
would also like to get a bullet mold set for making my own lead bullets.
you can imagine how broke I am now. so if any of you have any of these two items for sale real cheap. give me a PM.

Thanks for all your comments.
