I've tried the 1554...very nice. My mate belongs to a group called the Beer Masons out here... www.beermasons.com/
They send out a mixed box of beers each month...all hard, if not impossible, beers to procure in Australia.
Cheers, Vince

Sorry Elvis...very rude of me, not to mention slack and idle, to miss replying to your post mate.
The taste was very nice...a slightly darker brown ale with nice body and lingering after taste. Not as "bright" or "crisp" as Tooheys Old...closer to a stout without being as full bodied or heavy. All in all, a rather easy and pleasant beer to drink on a warm afternoon.
Cheers, Vince

+1 on the Summit Lager!
Not a bad drop at all, like most of the South Island Beers Monteiths, Macs etc

My favourite style of beer is IPA & the stronger stuff at that.
I really like a beer with a good bite to it.

Vince,
obviously the radiation treatment didnt trash your taste buds.
I cant tell the difference between beers anymore, you could give me a crownie in a glass and later slip in a southwark and I'd probably be none the wiser. (and what a horrible thought that is btw)
If this wasnt the case I'd be asking questions about your beer masons and get the secret handshake and carton deliveries sorted.
