Oy mate- you and me both, you've been there too. That Station fire was a whopper here. Stuff burned that aint burnt in 150 years in some spots. But the Govt here stop control/prescribed burs as it costs too much. Maybe if them liberal shot callers lived in the middle of it they'd think differently.

. we have what they are calling a once in a lifetime Shocked

southerly blast hitting at this time. we have 1/2" of snow and its falling still. we needed some moisture as the farms are getting dry its not looking good for spring growth but this snow will help raise the water table.the temprature is a little above freezing at this stage and my plurry kids are home from school running around throwing snow at each other Mad

.they are happy and out of mums hair so its all good Very Happy

. no work for me today as too much snow and the freezing works are closed so not recieving any stock. the farm tracks are too wet to do work on them so I get to stay home and annoy the wee wifey Very Happy

I think some of that cold southerly actually reached us here in Brisbane Elvis...been bloody cold at night and if you get out of the sun mate. In the sun it is beautiful though.

Thats why they now call gobal warming "Climate Change" seems the story didnt reflect the reality.
Dont worry, when the ranga inflicts her " breathing tax on everything" aka the carbon tax, all sever weather will abate, the world be be a barmy paradise where we can all sit in a circle and sing kumbyar in comfort......

...and of course we can hug trees without fear of recrimination from nasty peoples...I've had my eye on this cute little Cootamundra Wattle tree not far from my place. Very Happy

well it is late winter but it doesnt usually get this low and NEVER gets that far north. the snow stopped this morning and we have had about 2-3" of rain since then its still cold and plurry wet. looks like I may get to do some work tomorow the last 2 days have been a wash out.

Snow followed by rain is damned miserable weather mate...no two ways about that.

Drink plenty of rum, or Scotch and put ya feet up in front of the fire mate.
