And Slim- next trip were taking the SW SA-22. This thing is a lot like a 1911, true SA trigger, a hoot to do hammers and such with. Just watch the thumbs forward grip, breech is open both sides and it's nipped my thumb once during slide release and wow- it took a hunk right off! Ya aint shot a more accurate or fun lil .22 SA pistol. Man it rips.

Stovey, you didn't show me the scoped revolver. Was that because it was too long to fit in your carry bag? I've never seen a handgun with a barrel so long it needed a sling!

Vince,
just bite the bullet, jump through the hoops and get your pistol licence back.
That much anguish needs to be acted upon.
I'm sure I can find some targets of the toxic turd (john howard) for you to practice on :)......

Bushy, that Woodsman looks as a copy of the FN Challenger and then I can understand you're happy with its performance. My Challengers will eat anything you feed, but to be honnest: to shoot I like my S&W model 41's better.
Did you know the FN Challenger is the ancestor of the Browning Buckmark? The magazine of the Buckmark will fit in the Challenger, but not the other way around (and it functions but the shape of the bottom of a Buckmark's magazine is not completely level with the Challenger's stock)
And when somebody is going to look for data on the FN Challenger, please also have a look at the Nomad and the Medalist (alltough the last one doesn't accept the Buckmark magazines)

Thought about it mate, and would love to...but the hoops are getting tighter every year...or I'm getting fatter. Whichever way, I'm not prepared to go through all the crap and corruption to maintain a Cat H licence anymore... and also I can no longer afford to buy the necessary things like a pistol, reloading gear and components. I'd want to get what I had before...a S&W 586, a .22 pistol and my pride and joy...a TC Contender in 30.30 Win. Far too expensive for my wallet these days. The $5K I got when I handed them all in allowed me to buy my O/U 12g shottie and a Weatherby Vanguard in .243 as well as the necessary reloading bits and pieces.
I do like the idea of a Weasel Guts/Toxic Turd target though. Come to think of it, I reckon there would be plenty more faces would go well on targets...off the top of my head I can think of a couple of females that would go down a treat.
Did I mention I hate being on a pension.
Cheers, Vince

"Boomer" has his own carrying case...rearly take that pistol out. No fun w/o at least 50y and some cans, tennis balls etc. to shoot at. The trigger on it is to die for!
