This is the funniest site I've ever seen....OMG Geland will get a kick outa this HERE By the time I got the 8th page I was crying/laujghing so bad I had to stop. The web pages are a little hard to decipher at first.

Used to take photos of them too..
you ought to see some nonsense they printed on their T shirts..
usually I would amuse myself reading them on the subways over there.

I've been learning Chinese, and due to my monotone voice, its a little harder for me to get the tones right (every sound has up to 4 tones representing each tone as a different word).

But the written language seems to be easier, nothing different then English, all a bunch of symbols, not proper phonetic spelling. But some news paper titles are quite funny:

One that sounds ok, as a literal translation.

"Hu Jintao attended opening ceremony and delivered important speech."

Verses something like this:

"Arrive Ukrainian start process national affair visiting"

or

"Study type party organization learn what"

I copied the traditional characters to a note pad and got rid of the phonetic spelling and English, the moment the girlfriend say the first two sentences she laughed as she knew what the rest was to be.
