These are my buddy Russ and my labs. Today we were on the heels of another winter storm coming in. We made the decision that we would take the morning off and chase some birds, probably for the last time this season. With one more storm, getting out would be pretty tough anymore and also I will be leaving for NW Montana for Christmas. Our labs had to work very hard today to get to the birds. With all the snow and snowdrifts we have now, it was a test of their endurance as well as ours to get to the birds. They did another magnificent job today. We are truly blessed to have these fine animals as well as great places to hunt yet. It is always sad when the season comes to an end. They come and go far to fast anymore. As always, I still missed my old yellow lab, Moosie. He still brings a smile to my face when I think of him. With that I would like to wish all you fine folks a safe and very Merry Christmas.
Just me--terry

Thanks for your thoughts Moose.

You have some fine looking dogs there mate...and those pheasant look absolutely magnificent...they should go great on the Christmas table mate...but don't forget your dogs...they have earned a special meal as well for all their hard work.

Cheers, Vince

Thanks for all the nice comments Folks. My wife and I are leaving early Friday morning for Kalispell, Montana to spend Christmas with the kids. A good many of those harvested roosters will be making the trip with us. They don't last long once I cook them up. Here's hoping you all have a very Merry Christmas. Smile ---terry
