Lovely mate....a very pretty young lassie. Good to see she is following in Dad's footsteps with hunting.

Elvis,
What A beautiful young lady you have. It's important to have those "Daddy / Daughter" days. I have a 9 year old Daughter who loves walk the woods with me "scouting" for deer, and any other critter we may come across. I can't remember happier times. Enjoy her company as often as possible. Nothing better than hearing a kid say "remember when we ...."

Elvis, concur with the others. Is she on a walk-about heading North near the equator? I know you folks are on the bottom of the earth.

I've got two girls and I love seeing other father-daughter moments. At the ages of 23 and 25mine will still come sit in my lap and give me a hug.

Sometimes it's nice not to hear everything. Getting older even let you chose what to hear or not on occasions...
and sometimes it's also nice not to understand everything all the time and I'm not going to translate what picture came into my mind when I read this Smile

and Elvis, just put such pictures and their memories on very special harddisks. I too have 2 daughters and alltough they are not married yet, I cannot get them to a hunt anymore. The oldest is a medical doctor (which does have its benefiths), the youngest is already 24 and going for her PhD in biology.
I never had to clean my rifles in the evening... on the contrary I think I have to donnate a few rifles or I'll never see grandchildren and I'm already waiting for a long time to be able to spoil them...

Wow, Elvis! Somhow the picture rotation 90 CW, and the increased size, adds a new perspective. Adventuresome and fun-seeking, come to mind. You, Sir, are going to have some great times ahead of you! I'm still having some good times with my daughter as an empty nester.

Aloys, my daughter isn't married yet either so I too will be waiting for a long time to be able to spoil any grandchildren.

Hm...2 lb each....thems must be the buggers that I fatten up and they slip over your way to be caught. I never catch any fish...just fatten 'em up with my bait fer you other buggers ta catch.

I have 6 grandkids now...and have had all six nearby for the past 12 months, although three are moving about 1800km away come New Year. I wanted to take the boys hunting, but their mother said no...she isn't into firearms and isn't keen on the boys getting interested in them. That will change I think.

You daughter has that really cheeky, happy go lucky smile on her face mate. I bet she keeps you on the hop. I reckon you are right about the need for some "pumper rattling"...she is gonna be a really purty lady when she grows up mate, not that she isn't now.

Cheers, Vince
