Here here! Amen brother!! I bow down to the altar of John M Browning, inventor of all that's good and useful in the world.
(Not the first time I've agreed with Chambered. Just the first time I've ever ADMITTED it. )

Nice looking set-up Pumpkinslinger! Levers and scout scopes just go together. I've got one on mine also.

But please..... this thread is about "Rain Soaked Suz", I'm enjoying this thread and don't wish to hi-jack it.

My deer season is over, didn't get one, had tags for two, I'm bummed, disgruntled and persnoodled. Oh yeah and to rub salt into the wound, I didn't get any trick-or-treaters knockin at my door either.
Me and Jon are gonna haveta eat a buncha Snickers and KItKat bars....maybe there's a casserole recipe I could use....some BBQ ideas?
Grind em up and make a loaf? I love meatloaf sandwiches, I could make Snickat loaf sandwiches with some tomatoes and mayo....fried for breakfast?....dunk em in coffee?...heat em up and make gravy with lots of pepper...out of ideas.
I just bought a Mosin Nagant with a serial number of 170, does that make it the 170th one made?.. but it's got a scrubbed receiver, there's no lovely crest on the receiver. Beautiful condition, the stock looks new and the bore is bright and shiny, one little rust spot under the top hand guard wood. Didn't know how to treat the rust, it's very pitted, so I cleaned up the rust and filled it with grease. It's a Soviet 91/59, has a 20 inch barrel. Just got some reloadable Privi ammo but haven't shot it yet. the trigger is not too hard to get used to, I thought the gun would be lighter than 8 lbs, it's nice and short though, should be a fun shooter, plinker.
