Hi Dallan, us who use WinCE, Symbian, Palm and other obscure OS will feel slighted.
If I may make a suggestion, try write it in Java for this seems to be a common feature in most phones.

I once took the time to start learning Java. The book I read went something like this:
"If you are using version XXXX of Java you use these functions..."
"If you are using version YYYY of Java you use these functions..."
Without knowing what version of Java the end user has, its really hard to write a version that works for everyone.

Yeah I would not mind having it on my HTC Hero! It uses the Andriod system. Would be neat to have at a gunshow to shove in some guys face when he is being a "Armchair Rambo Super Sniper" Or a "Tommy Tactical!" Whichever you might happen to prefer using. HA HA!! But I like the idea of having it right there on the phone!

@ DallanC
I think most modern mobile phones uses MIDP 2 Java (J2ME) thus narrow your version type.
I am an avid reader, I carry and read a lot of ebooks on my phone(s),
and having the good fortune being able to travel often to the world largest mobile phone market (China)
I can change my phone very often indeed.
What I noticed is that I can put the java ebook reader program (tequilacat) on any phone I could get my hand to provided they can run Java.
@ radar
I actually came from Java (or Jawa as the natives there call their land).
The Java I known are all hot and naturally sweet, no milk needed to be added

Well, since my last post, I have had acquired an android phone.
Interesting tool it is.. a bit more difficult to use than standard phone due to the menu driven system,
but I can see a lot more functionality in it than other phones.
I have ported my JAR reader program to APK it works great so far.
I wonder how many members here uses Android??

I don't have one of them there fancy android phones (isn't an android a robot?), and I don't (edit) have one of them things Gelan mentioned (WinCE, Symbian, Palm).
But I do have a cell phone:
Will Point Blank Ver 2.0 operate on my phone Dallan? Will make life easier at the range.
Cheers, Vince

My only phone plugs into the wall......
The only app it has is to block sales and political calls.
