Anyone into early Smith and Wesson revolvers? Cowboy action shooters, maybe?

Broke beyond my wildest dreams, I may soon be selling the remaining (choicest) .32 S&W and .38 S&W safety hammerless and new departure revolvers from my collection. ALL are shooters - modern powder, not limited to black powder and six of the nine of them have NRA 90% to 98% finish (excellent to excellent plus condition).

Many pictures, satisfaction gauranteed. If there is any interest here, I will post in the Swap/Sell forum.

A couple of examples:

Ooops - sorry - don't have the photos on this hard drive after all. I will follow up this afternoon in another post.

In .32 I have safety hammerless first, second and third models (Manufactured 1888 to 1909) and also two fourth model D/A S/A New Departure (with hammer) Mfd 1883-1909

In .38 I have a third model, fourth model and a beautiful fifth model ; all safety hammerless. I also have a near-mint perfected model (S/A D/A with hammer).

Just thought I'd post this as a "feeler" to see if any members are interested in a real piece of American history.

I'm not sure that finances will allow a purchase but I'd love to see the pics! I have a S&W ".32 Single Action", made in 1878. Maybe it needs some company...

Nice. Thats in very fine condition for one of the older tip ups. Most of the tip ups I've seen around here are "gray guns" (no finish left to speak of).

Here are some photos of the .38 Perfected Model. This has the side latch, as well as top latch. The side latch was added at the request of Police Departments. It prevented criminals from opening the revolver during a struggle by grabbing the gun with one hand, working the top latch.

Here is the .32 First Model

And here is the .32 Second Model. this one is blued. It has with it the original issue holster. The gun was carried by a New Jersey police officer for his entire career.

This .32 New Departure Fourth Model is pretty sweet. Photos are taken to highlight the blemishes - a few flakes by the RH grip, one on the butt above the s/n. No flaws are hidden in any of my photos.
