I arrived back home from 2 weeks in Texas & New Mexico to this tragedy, which happened only hours before.
The shooter was someone I knew for more than 30 years & it looks like the first victim was his twin brother, a really nice guy.
I suspect his brother tried to stop him or something.
Having trouble taking it all in right now.

Looks like two things set him off: the changed will & an argument over "fare poaching" with other cab drivers.
Neither is an excuse for what he did.
I'm not really feeling anything apart from being angry at the killer for what he did - seen enough stuff over the years.

"And Labour MP Chris Williamson said the government should not "rule out the possibility of the complete prohibition of private ownership of firearms as the best way of preventing fugure atrocities like this".
Nice.
Yeh, everyone knows banning guns will stop human's from killing one another.
My thoughts and prayers to the family's.
My disdain to idiots like Chris Williamson in times like this. A true champion of stupidity, striking while the political iron is hot.
Someone needs to stake this clown to an anthill and pack his shorts fulla honey.

Firstly, condolences to all who that this has affected, family and kin.
No-one knows WHY a man flips, from all reports, he was well liked and a seemed a calm and sensible bloke, who had gun licences for about 20 years.
Mike, I worked over there, a few years back, on a dredger, and the people were some of the friendliest I have met. It is a great tradgedy that this has happened.
But, at least, our major shooting organisation is in talks with the new government and hopefully, a kneejerk reaction, like has happened in the past, will not happen.
As usual, the media are having a fielday, hopefully, when the FULL truth is known(Not the hype) of the incident, things will calm down and commom sense will prevail.
I cannot say my feeling for the families involved and they will take years to recover(If ever) their sense of loss.
RIP to the innocent victims

A sad situation for all involved.
