I'm a p-poor distance gusser, THEREFOR, I keep my '06 130-150 bullets to 3" above to 3" below line of sight. (point blank range) thats's some were around 300 yds., zero is at about 270 yds. IF I don't have that distance to shoot that far, very carefully ZERO at 27-28 yds, (MAKE ONE HOLE) can then shoot the head off grouse and rabbets at that distance for camp meat. don't laught, BTDT.

Your not kidding do it carefully! It needs to be a head shot cause if you do a body shot, there isn't much left to eat if you can find the pieces.

agreed Slim, it's really as difficult as it sounds. and you will still have your 3 above and 3 below to 'bout 300 yds.

Ooooh! something else I didn't think of. Was reading some notes from Lazeroni about twist affecting POI/windage at long range even though your windage is O @ 100y.
Interesting and that never even dawned on me.
He's also of the line of thinking for a O @ 100y and not letting his bullet go over the POA and using Mil Dot's for come-up.

Just means prepared stew meat instead of roasted rabbit.
