Recent snow has pushed a few new birds into Central IL. Got to go out Saturday and Sunday.

I rolled this big spud out at about 65 yards on Sunday morning as he tried to make an escape. (Gotta love the Black Cloud BBB's)

Next week should be good with a Christmas storm forecast.

went fishing with wife and kids on saturday. we trolled past geese at 70yrds and they sat and took no notice so we stopped fishing and got in to 30yards and we counted 37 birds. the shotgun was crying in the cupboard at home I will have to dig the canoe out soon and give them a educating...

yip Vinny lad I got to to confess I couldnt resist. I took the shotty out and blasted some bunnies last week end and today it got too much. took the conoe out caught a 2 lb brown trout looking where the geese were two weeks ago. got back to wife and daughter and spotted them hiding the other way. got back in the ganoe and went and poped off two out of a mob of 80. YES I know I just educated 78 but I just had to smoke a couple. Im sure you fellas and fellesses understand.....

hey SlimJim we went out to shoot wallabies today as we topped a rise a 100lb wild boar looked at me and got dead and taken to my freezer for his trouble. mmmmm roast wid pork with apple sauce .

Try pork and venison sausages, and experiment with the herbs and spices..nothing ventured, nothing gained mate.

Damn, I wish I was closer to the game hunting areas...sitting in the middle of the big city is driving me crazy.

I know how you feel. I have to drive 50 miles or 75 miles just to shoot at paper at a respectable distance (250 or 1000 yards). At least I can eat a good sandwich on the way and, thanks to the cell phone, I can catch up with friends along the way.
