The guys were all at a deer camp. No one wanted to room with Bob, because he snored so badly.. They decided it wasn't fair to make one of them stay with him the whole time, so they voted to take turns.
The first guy slept with Bob and comes to breakfast the next morning with his hair a mess and his eyes all bloodshot. They said, "Man, what happened to you? He said, "Bob snored so loudly, I just sat up and watched him all night."
The next night it was a different guy's turn. In the morning, same thing, hair all standing up, eyes all bloodshot. They said, "Man, what happened to you? You look awful! He said, 'Man, that Bob shakes the roof with his snoring. I watched him all night."
The third night was Fred's turn. Fred was a tanned, older cowboy, a man's man. The next morning he came to breakfast bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. "Good morning!" he said. They couldn't believe it.. They said, "Man, what happened?"
He said, "Well, we got ready for bed. I went and tucked Bob into bed, patted him on the butt, and kissed him good night. Bob sat up and watched me all night."

I've seen and read that one several times over the past few years and it still gives me a laugh. Being born and raised in the west I have first hand experience with some of the older "Cowboys" and this fits them to a "T"....

I used to go Elk hunting with one of my brother in-laws that would snore the minute his head hit the pillow. I used to throw everything in the tent at his head, including hunting boots etc. I even threatened to put a rope around his legs and drag him out of the tent with my atv but nothing seemed to work. He snored the whole 10 days we were out Elk hunting. Needless to say he's not invited anymore cause I never could get a nights sleep at all. I used to hunt the mornings and then head to camp for a much needed sleep and then go for a late afternoon evening hunt.

Ummmm.....I think my middle name might be Bob
My hunting buddy reckons he can see the sides of my tent sucking in and ballooning out when I start snoring. On one occasion he was afraid that I was going to inhale my entire tent.
I know that I am a snorer, so I have my own tent and I won't pitch it within a minimum of 5 - 8 metres of my mate's tent...wouldn't be fair to him.
Cheers, Vince

With all the open space you have in the Outback, that isn't too much of a problem is it? Any pictures of you hunting camps?

Vince, you should consider a post on hunting in the Outback. I think we would all enjoy it. I'd be interested in what game your hunting, what the terrain and vegatation would be like, and about your "rig" - the truck set-up looks interesting and unique. Show lots of pictures!!!

Vince, I figured there was something "special" about the rig but I wasn't expecting that. Refrig, solar power, tell us more!

Nothing really special about the rig mate...in fact that sort of a setup is quite common out here. I even have a small fridge that I plug into the cigar lighter in my car. Its good for 6 - 8 cans of whatever you desire.
Pics will best describe the setup in the back mate...so I'll wait till I can get over to his place and snap a few.
Cheers, Vince
