1 little 2 little 3 little chickens....Gamble's and Valley quail at Chez Stovepipe.

Super tight salt bush and mesquite kept these guys pretty safe for the most part. I got worked Tuesday going after this covey. It was 26 degrees F. too...way too cold fer this Calif Boy, brrrrr! Laughing

Marinate in Worschtershire, then browned in pan with a touch of oil then simmered in garlic/basil pasta sauce (rest of sauce goes on rice, not pic'd.)...yuuuumy! I leave the necks on for 'handles'. (fuzzy pic, sorry, had to compress it)
