Not familar with this brand. I think I'm confusing these with Legacy or Howa too....my limited research capabilities etc are kinda holding me back info wise.

trap-guns.com/genie/De...ll&sit=All

Anyone got any input on these? American or Imported? It's backed by Davidson's so...sort of a no brainer. But, if they are not-so-good I'll wait on something else.
Was thinking of nabbing one instead of holding out for the Smith-n-Wesson, Weatherby or Mossy's I'm looking at that are out of stock.
Reesarching uber-light, sub 650$ 20ga auto's.

eOK-

Learnin' lots here.... on my roomies 'puter. Argh..
Mossy, Escort, S&W, Weatherby, Steven's, Daily, CZ, ...all them cute lil auto's under 600$, O/U's under a 'grand, etc are made in Turkey.

I'm comin' in a little late to the party here on some of this uptake, obviously. Sucks having to "re-arm" but....gotta do it.

Spent 3 hours weedin' through this stuff...some good, some not-so. Some are way overpriced clones....like the Smith and Wesson 1020. Wow. Mad Gimme a break. Laughing

Had no clue Turkey was this deep into some pretty big Icons. I knew about Norinco and Baikal but.....yikes! The economy over there must be going nuts!

Meh, maybe I'll try one of these 'cheap' autos and see how it goes, read good things about the Mossy, Escort and Weatherby (what's the diff?!?!? Laughing )...gonna sniff around some 'normal' firearms first. Makes ya kinda leary buying into a 'name' nowadays

Yeppr...gonna do some more shoppin'...Right after I pull the Ruger outta the safe and give it a big hug. I know where that one's made.

Stovey, you seem to understand the better value you get with your rollers..........consider doing the same with the pellet poppers!!! It'll pay in the long run!!!

Copy that...

I want a light 20ga field gun.

I've handled the Benelli Montefeltro and Superlight and like them and the engineering. God I hope they aint made in Turkey (or China or...... Confused ) as I'm really leaning towards the Montefeltro 24", Ultralight and M2 24". No more cheapo's.

Stack bbl comes after new years and the taxes are paid. Something in a nice Browning Cynergy from Hero's Arms will do just nicely.

Turkish firearm manufacturing is about as good as Kymber Pass rifles. Laughing

As far as I know the Turkish Army still purchases US made M16s/M4s for their Special Forces units instead of using the locally made HK G3 and HK 33 clones.

I don't know, I was not impressed with a shotgun I have seen from there. Actually the Brazilian shotguns seemed better. But that is a personal opinion.

I looked it up according to american rifleman march 2007 the turks are manufacturing the ar-24 (armalite's cz-75) I've seen some of those and thought they were okay there is probably a vast spectrum as there is here "made in the usa" doesn't always insure quality.
