That is just an awesome pic!!!!!!!
You just gotta love hunting with a dog, all they care about is pleasing their master and chasing birds. My Black Lab is a great duck dog and we are going to try pheasants this year.

Thanks for the nice comments guys. Sharptail hunting has been pretty tough in these parts due to a massive winterkill. Our pheasants are probably down about 80 percent or so also. We did manage one more sharptail a couple of days ago. Right now we are experiencing a mini-blizzard. Not quite ready for the snow stuff yet. I always carry a camera along when in the field. Right now I'm using a Cannon A550 which takes decent pics. Well, you all have a great season in the field.
Added a pic of the last bird we were fortunate to find.

Hey Moose...I usually hunt up north of Beach but had to cancel out on my guys this year. Glad I did, they got caught in that 21 degree, 1000 MPH wind. Killed some sharptail though before it turned cold.
THEN, they stopped in Bismark to put one of the guys on a plane, and while at church was invited to a ranchers place south of town for pheasant. The three of them killed 7 roosters with a bunch of missed birds in a couple of hours. They reported that pheasant numbers were WAY down south of Beach but this particular rancher had large numbers.
Wouldn't you know it...the very year I don't go....
glad I missed the wind and snow though. Gotta like that.
