I think I hit a button !!! Very Happy

That was not an attack on your statement in general.
Only used it as an reference.
And I sure wasn’t alluding to you having deer always running on you.

Yes it is a personal preference and to this date I haven’t ate any crow nor do I plan on it !!! (I know the limits of my gun and load)

When I started out deer hunting my dad gave me a Remington 700 30-06.
The first thing I figured out was the deer I was shooting (well inside 100 yards) would hit the ground like a ton of bricks, jump up, and take off running !!!
Long story short:
I knew I could adjust the loads and have better performance but instead I decided to buy another gun in 7mm-08.
Now I have short and long range guns that work all the way up to moose and bear.

Oh yea !!! Don’t care what anyone says, 06’s kick !!!

Sorry dude no sleep last night so took a sick and tired day. I just read more into it then was there. I won't argue the 06 does kick but I've found it tolerable with 150gr bullets and get great results on the kill side. I have a S&W 1500 with custom stock it shoves hard not so much kick. I don't like to shoot it just wearing a t shirt. I tried 220gr silver tips for bear, after the hunt I had a box of shells left they sataround untill my son had big enought wavos to shoot them.
Just got a call from the gun shop my son's BFR is in.
