That price is just plain dumb! I can understand the seller wanting to sell as high as possible (kind of understand) but the individual that paid the price is the real prize here. Greed and panic will be our down fall. The way components are flying off the shelves is just amazing.

You know what Wiersay....I reckon you might just have hit the nail about as squarely on the head as is possible mate. I just hope you are wrong. Whichever way you look at it....our sport is now an expensive proposition...and all because of greed....on the part of almost everybody.

Varget is one of my favorite powders, but while this craze is taking place, also use other powders close to Varget. Have talked to people that have bought Varget, that have never used it, only bought it because there was a shortage. Crazy!

Your are right, RL 15 is very good also, but understand that it is hard to get also. I have a couple of pounds of each, so can get by, using some other powders to help.

Ive heard a lot of good stuff about RL powders I may try some just for something to do. What is the best RL for .270, 30-06, 257 Weatherby, 7MM Rem Mag?

Rl 22 could work in all those if you're trying to stay simple, but 19 might work better in the 30-06

Rl25 might maximize velocity. The 1000 yrd guys are using this in several 7's to get the 180's where they want them. I realize that I live in a different part of the country but I haven't had any problems getting Rl stuff maybe I should keep this to myself.

Varget went up at the Bass Pro in Hanover MD $27.99 a pound wtf it use to be $21.50. I got two pounds last night I called and had them set two pounds aside for me. Thats a 120 mile round trip and $9.00 in tolls so between gas , tolls and the price increase I have about $90.00 bucks rapped up in two pounds of powder . Oh well my .308 loves it so it was worth it . Very Happy
Joe
