|
Are there any fans of the Ithaca Model 37 12 gauge pump shotgun here? I have the one my Mother helped get for me in 1979 when I passed Hunter Safety class.
It has 2 barrels, 24" deerslayer and a 26" vent rib barrel with Improved Cylander choke. Its helped harvest ALOT of critters in its day.

I got them in 12, 16 and 20 gauges. These are fine classic arms and I grab any decent one I come across in excellent condition at a reasonable price. All the best...

Here is the new ithaca gun company in Ohio. VERY nice guns.....very nice prices though too.
Joe the model 87 is a very nice gun.
Martin, the Ithaca's are a great shotgun, I like the SMOOTH feel the actions have, even though they have one action bar. All the others have to have 2 to keep from binding up.

I too have a Model 37 in 12ga. It had a deerslayer barrel on it, but I have only ever used it for shooting pigeons. I have never had any problems with it, and am fairly pleased with it.

Count me in. I scan the used gun racks all the time looking for decent used Ithaca Model 37s. The price of new guns give me chest pains. Take care...

Bought an excellent one in 1970 with paper route money from a pawn shop. It was a fine gun and I used it for many years hunting pheasants and ducks/geese. Some POS decided he needed to steal it from me several years ago and I have never found one quite as nice.
You gotta love the bottom eject and the quick reload of the Model 37.

the gun shop where I "work" has a real nice 16 on the rack that was made in the 40's I look at it daily and can't figure out why someone hasn't given it a good home. It's all original with hardly any wear on the blue. I could send pictures if anyone is interested. I'm not trying to sell it but at the same time I'd hate to deprive someone of this piece if they are looking for it. Its been there over a year. maybe two.

I bought an Ithaca 37 Featherweight in 1981 and it's one of my favorite shotguns. I like it most because I am left handed and it loads easy and ejects from the bottom, instead of out to the side. I'm also very fond of that fiber optic site that they use. My barrel is a 30" full choke and has accounted for literally thousands of birds....
