I am glad this is one of the few sites that I am a frequently on!! It is a credit to all on here!!!!
And it truely has helped ALOT with Cathy in such rough shape for the last 6 or so years of our 9.5 years being married. It is nice to come to this site and the two others as well: IowaCarry.org and the RLB to see what is going on in the world and even too see some funny postings by a really cool guy on here from Austrailia, and others as well, he he. By the way MR. Vince I really liked the entry about Romeo and Juliette! I think I made some folks uneasy today when I started laughing in the waiting room for Cathy to get out of her "procedure" as they like to call them now. And there is one guy on here who holds a very special place with me, you know who you are.

I do not think we recognize just how much we do help each other out in/of our lives, especially when things are really rotten and there is just no rhyme or reason for it. Basically it has become a "home" for me to escape to when things are kind of rough and it never fails to make me less tense or stressful and has made it easier to deal with those problems.

"What brought this on?" you may ask.
Well last Friday Cathy went in to have a catheter for dialysis replaced after the tech noticed it had come loose so they sent her to the hospital and in the course of her getting a new one or the old one fixed she stopped breathing and has had to be on a ventilator and is looking at another week maybe more of being on it, again. She is absolutely terrified of what is happening and I cannot be there like I should/want to as I have to take the munchkin around to head start and then to day care and then I am off to work until 11PM and it is driving me crazy!!!! But then I come to this place and the other two mostly, sometimes YOUTube to listen to some songs I like and it all goes away for a time and things are "normal" and I do not have to worry about those things. And I can just be; me!! Not the "problem solver."

I have said in the past that I sometimes wish she did have cancer as there is so much more the doc's know about it than what she has(Wegener's)and they could do alot more things to help have a better life, quality of life I mean by that. It truely is no longer if she goes but when. And I am not looking forward to the explainations I will have tell the munchkin, Adrian by the way is his name, but as I have said to the above mentioned member it is not up to me what happens other than to just know and trust there is a GOOD plan in God's will even though I probably will never see it.
And the ability to deal with things as they come will be there as long as I continue to trust it is so.

Arron, I am truly humbled by your kind words mate. If I can make just one person's life a little easier or more pleasurable by giving them a good chuckle or laugh, then I consider that I have done something worthwhile in my life.

I sort of understand how you are feeling about your lovely wife's struggle mate. I went through it last year with my Dad, although his struggle, as strong as it was only lasted a week.

There are any number of damn fine people on here...people that I am proud to call friend, or even brother or sister...and each and every one of them I am sure will be thinking of you and Adrian, your fear of what the future holds for you and your family, and praying for Cathy's well being and serenity in her difficult struggle with this insidious disease.

Kids are extremely resilient mate...whilst he will not understand what is happening to Mummy, and when the time comes, where she has gone, but just be there for him when he asks questions and don't be afraid to let him see you showing emotion mate.

My prayers are with you all, and I hope that Cathy's time is happy and contented for her, Adrian and you mate.

Well today was good one for me.

I had the geet together for the state CCW group I am part of and I got four brand new members and two registered members and one more who will be converting to Supporting Member status, that means paying cash money to help us fight for uniform CCW issuance in Iowa!!! This is BIG!!
That just raised the total number of supporting members by about six percent!!! MONSTER GOOD THING!!!!

And I also got a call from Cathy's nurse telling me Cathy wanted me and Adrian to come and see her!!!! I got there tonight after picking up munchkin from mom and dad's house and she was wide awake and alert as could be! Not expecting that big a difference that soon. She wanted to smack me though as she was trying to tell me things and and then trying to write them but she runs letter together when she writes and some letters look like others so Ibwas just not getting it, but when I did she was pretty happy and I untied her arms as well that made her REALLY happy!!! But she does have to sleep with them tied up so she doesn't pull out the tube and if she does then she dies. She just isn't ready yet to get off the machine but they are getting her closer every day I think. So today was not bad at all! And I did mean what I said in the first part.
