Vint2,
How are you doing? Got any news on the tests yet? I hope it was a false positive test. Take care of yourself.
Cary

Cary,
They are doing more testing and I am still waiting. So far nothing has been confirmed or ruled out, except that I have inflammmation according to a sed test. I am taking it easy as I can't do much else, but my poor wife is getting to bust her hump . We expect to hear something soon. I wll let everyone know as soon as I know. I tell Doc," I am great, but the old bod ain't doing so hot!" Any info or helpful ideas will be greatly appreciated!!!

Vint2,
Lyme disease is hard on the body. I was under the impression that you caught it from infected ticks (normally from deer). One of the visible characteristics of lymes is the bulls-eye inflammation pattern around the bite area. In other words the bite area will have two or three read circles around it, like a bull’s-eye pattern. One of my aunts had it and it took a long time to get over it. If you’ve never had those symptoms, it could be rheumatoid arthritis, and that is no picnic either. My brother has that. They do have new drugs to treat rheumatoid arthritis that is enabling my brother to live a relatively normal life (he’s always out hunting).
Anyway, we’ll hope for the best…Good old osteoarthritis (old age arthritis). It’s not so bad, considering the alternative.
Take it easy.
Cary

Cary,
The general rules on lyme are like what you stated, but I did not have the rash and I still tested positive. Prior to that my dr. told me that the rash is not always there. I don't want to try and second guess the doctors, so am still waiting for reports from the next round of testing. The wife and I have a tendency to cause the med folks some grief by asking too many questions!!!! While they are looking around, I will look to the Lord.

Vint, keep asking the questions!! My wife was in the hospital a few weeks back for a still unresolved problem. She saw a Gastro doc who suspected a bleeding ulcer and a Cardio doc who was telling her to take aspirin...

Vint2,
Sorry to hear that. The main thing is that it's curable. Just mind the doctor and get lots of rest. Just look at it this way....Now you've got more time to talk to us Hunting Nuts!
