If I buy a sling shot from this company www.lducompany.com will it be ok to make it into the states? It would be coming from China. I have a friend in Australia who wants me to order one for him because he does not have paypal but I am worried that the slingshot will not make it through Australian customs. This LDU company says that they guarantee delivery to Australia for slingshots but I would like to learn some things so here I am asking. Here is the address to the guaranteed sling shot delivered to Australia for my friend www.liangdianup.com/in...201AUS.htm but there is no talk about slingshots shipping to the USA if they are guaranteed or not for delivery.

Hi Alice123, welcome to HuntingNut. Grab a drink and a stump and sit a while.
BEFORE you order this item ensure that you, or your friend, check the current Regulations for ownership of a "arm braced" slingshot in Australia. It is my understanding that they are either prohibited or require licensing. I know that for me to import a hunting knife into Queensland Australia, I had to apply to the Qld Police for approval, then on receipt of written approval I had to submit this approval to Customs before they would release the knife.
I can't speak for the US Customs, but I do know that it can take up to 3 months to get a reply from them to a question on eligibility for import.
Where is your friend in Australia? There are a few of us here and we cover most States.
Cheers, Vince

I can't help you with Australia, but for the USA just contact Clinton, he waived the old gun ban law for 365,000 asault rifles from China. I am sure he will be glad to help you!! LOL

All I can say is that I'm glad I don't live in Australia! Its a shame the laws have gotten so foolish in so many places.
By the way, I'm not knocking Australia, I'd love to visit there!

Slingshots in the US depends on the state. For example here in AZ it is legal to own a slingshot. I personally have two of those slingshots. I can go down to Walmart and buy those from there. So just look up the laws for the state that it will be sent to.

If you are traveling to the US, just wait until you get here to purchase one. You can buy them all over Texas. Heck, just get a mesquite fork and some surgical tubing and make one of your own. I don’t know how you will get it back to your home country; that’s another dilemma.
