To all that want to pay there respects.

The soldier who pass away that was one of my sons buddies they are burying him in Arlington. I am invited to attend and will so in respect for my son and for all involved. I spoke with my son Gary this morning and he confirmed what I thought that he was one of his good friends and had visited with him to his family while they where on leave. I really do not know how to go about this but my son ask me to take pictures of the funeral so he would feel he was there and have something to remember him by and share with the other troops that served with him. I want to do what my son ask but I also do not want to in any way upset the family of the fallen soldier. I will try to give my respect from all of those that want to and give a letter of condolence to the family for all of us so if you would like to pay your respect speak up so I can add your name to the letter. I have this posted on several gun forums so if you visit others and see it you will already know what is going on.

My condolences...I would first ask the parents for permission. Then check with the Arlington authorities...

I don't know how to go about something like that, but what Bushmaster stated seems to be the best route.

Please carry the condolences of the folks on Huntingnut with you and give them to the family for us.

As Bushy said...ask the family's permission to take photos, and tell them why you are doing it. I feel certain that they would be agreeable to you taking pics for their son's unit mates to share the day.

I offer my Condolances as well. It's a sad thing when a soldier dies, they are a cut above the common folk and we dont have enough of them.
