Hm, 4 thou ".....not a lot, but then again it is similar to what you have on ordinary jacketed bullets. Only problem I can see is the "jacket" on the plated bullets is probably pure copper which is very soft, whereas the jacked bullets have a copper alloy for strength.
Maybe the plated bullets would be okay at low velocities with light loads, but it is probably just easier to use normal jacketed bullets in the rifle.
Bloody mossies....hate the little buggers
...although they "love me.
We have a few different kinds over here in Oz. The worst are the
aedius egyptii that carry Dengue Fever and Ross River Fever, then there are those we call Scotch Greys...look a bit like a B52 with a storm water pipe hinging off the front
, the other one that gives me grief is a little black one with white stripes on their legs...sting like blazes when they bite and itch like buggery later.
When you swat one over here, the "recovery team" comes out, drags him off and fixes him up to bite again.
If they have any parts left over they build another one outa them....well I reckon that what they do cause you never seem to get rid of them all.
Cheers, Vince
