Sounds easy, if you have an old barrel that you don't care about.
Just cut the barrel of just in front of the mounting block, fill it and bore it off center for the rimfire barrel. Turn the rimfire barrel to the size of the hole mount it and pin it in place.

Yep, did that when we changed my brothers TCR from 6mm TCU to 30-30 x 6mm
I've even made a 357 Maximum barrel for a Contender by cutting the block and threading it for a shortened 35 caliber rifle barrel that I reduced, threaded to match the block. I was a little concerned whether it was going to be accurate but it turned out to be more accurate than the one he bought from Thompson. I guess I just like tinkering.

My first gun was a Winchester 250 Deluxe .22 and my first handgun was a Ruger Single Six. There are several more floating around here now, most recently a T/C R55 Benchmark that promises to be extremely accurate and a SIG Mosquito that seems to have trouble with digestion...

Wicky,

Your not making a business out of that, are you? The way I look at it is that if the tax payers vote in people that will authorize the use of tax payers money to do such a thing, they deserve to have more of their money taken from them to put in the sellers pockets.

I've seen some of the guns that were purchased by police departments to get them off of the streets. Talk about junk! This is a good way to dump all of your trash guns, and make a little money to buy some good ones!

Have a good day!

Cary

OntheLasGallinas,

No, not really getting them for the next buy back. Though with the apathy of some of the Aussie shooters I can see another one on the cards - I reckon they will hit handguns again first though 'cause we all know how dangerous they are when left to their own devices!!

I remember seeing a jenning pocket pistol 22 before, they came with 2 barrel short and long.

Hi Gelandangan, It's go a 2 inch I think - I haven't dragged it out for a while. Shoots OK, especially for a wee gun but has some real issues feeding. I have tried different ammo but nothing is good all the time.

Mate if your pistol barrel is less than 4 inch long, I dont want to know about it (at least not in an open forum like this one).

If the feeding is the problem, maybe a good gunsmith could help you.
Trouble is there is a lot of butchers out there that charge money for SFA...
I would be looking at the ramp into the barrel, magazine lips and the slide spring when different ammo could not fix the problem.
