KYGunner...As Bushy says...Just a bit slower. Remember "old age and cunning" and the "young bull, old bull" story.

I'm glad to hear that you were pleasantly surprised when you went for your physical mate. I am assuming that you passed with flying colours. Very Happy

You were a bit testy there young Gelan, weren't you. Laughing Give yourself two bags of uppercuts and go to bed without dessert mate.

Schools use Mac's

Out here in Aussie 'Mitri, Macs are considered to be the best computer suited to academic instutitions. Schools and colleges love them.

No worries though, its guys like you that prevent me from posting and you have just reiterated why.

Mate, as Bushy said...Well then...Maybe you need to pull up a stump, grab a beer and join in. You might discover the other side of us...Just might....We have never turned anyone away. We have had words with each other on ocasion, but we got over it. ...but its the ability to apologise, also a measure of our maturity, that makes each and every one of us good people. We have people from many different races and places around the world, and the fact that we all have something in common...our interest and love of firearms and the shooting sports... and can all co-exist here makes us probably the best multi-racial family on the net. Its also a real bonus that most, if not all, are prepared to pass on the benefit of their knowledge and experience to those of us that request help and guidance.

You've hit the nail squarely on the head here mate. I respect the work he put into 1.8 and think it is one of the best ballistic programs I have seen. So, don't lurk mate...jump in and be a part of the family. I feel sure that you have much to offer, and if you are anything like me, learn as well.

Punkin Dude wrote:
Dallan, no need to apologize! I’m impressed that you give us what we’ve got already.

Dallan, our resident Punkin said it all mate. There is no need for you to apologise to any of us. Without you and your sacrifices this Forum would not exist. Without you, your sacrifices and your computer programming knowledge and skills PB 1.8 wouldn't exist and 2.0 wouldn't be in the works. I am embarrassed that as a pensioner I find it very difficult to contribute financially to HuntingNut, even more so that it is you that has carried this burden for a number of years, and continues to do so. This is not the Aussie way. The one thing that would make your life so much easier, if we could contribute it, but unfortunately we can't, is time. I'm sure that each and every one of us would give this commodity to you if we could. Mate, you sit back, put your family first, then prioritise your other pursuits as you see fit. We can all wait for Ver 2.0...after all it costs us nothing.

KYGunner wrote:
Does that make you the best Bushy???? I probably don't know you well enough to gig you that way, but why not....It's not like we're face to face so you could hit me or something. Very Happy Very Happy
Bushy that was regarding the "all good things come with time" comment. I have noticed that most regard you has having the most time and thus goodness under your belt. You are thus "the best".

OI...steady up mate....we don't want Bushy's head to swell now, do we. Seriously though, you are totally correct...Bushy is a much respected, along with a number of others, member of the Forum. But each and every one of us has something that is respected by all the others...I like to think it is exactly that...respect for one another and each person's knowledge.

Damn...this is turning into a tear jerker. Sad I better stop. Laughing ROFL

Cheers, Vince

I hate to do this, but I will give Bushy one more thumbs up. Very Happy

Last year I needed advice on a load for my Smith Model 36 Chief's Special for qualifying in CCW. I was having a heck of a time coming up with one on my own.
Bushy gave me a load that he uses with his Wife's Model 10.
I qualified at a 99% with my little 2" barreled pistol.

The old "healthy" fart knows his stuff, and, if you are nice to him, he will help you out on occasion.

Guys,

Don't get me wrong I first learned how to use a computer on a PowerPC Performa with a CD-ROM drive and a 500mb Hard drive.

But their proprietary hardware (yes they released Boot Camp to let you use a BIOS instead of doing the normal Firmware start up like all Mac's do), lack of software as well as the high prices compared to similar non-Mac products makes me avoid them. Smile

Kinda why I avoid Dell they use a special power connector between the motherboard and power supply on a lot of their computers, which means a simple change out of one or the other isn't possible.

Anything that you know about a computer Dimitri, is probably more than I know.
The only computer that I have ever been on is a Mac, so I have nothing to compare to. I don't even know how to do pictures yet.
I have heard from many people, that a Mac is easier to use.

You don't have to justify yourself Dimitri. Everybody likes different things.

Mac's are easier to use. 99% of everything is hidden away with a cleaner interface to let someone who doesn't know what he wants to do do what they want to do without going into the command consol. Still other OS's are catching up to that like Windows and Linux. Smile

What you mean do pictures though ??

Like post on Hunting nut pictures ?? I got a guide:

www.stormpages.com/dimitrios2/PBT

Or you can add them to your gallery and link them over, or add them to a post as a attachment by clicking browse and finding the picture you'd like to post and clicking "Add Attachment". If this doesn't work for you let me know I'll take it step by step if you'd like in PM's Smile

By the way sorry about the ads on my site its a free site. Smile

Hey 1895,
Once in a while, I will post on the Firing Line forum.
A post has been going about what a piece of junk a Kimber is. wtf
I finally put my 2 cents worth, in the usual way that NEVER gets touchy people pissed off.
One guy got so mad that he told me that I didn't have the guts to give my phone number, even though I use my name Eric M. as my handle.
I sent him a PM with my home, cell, and e-mail number, and then posted that he had a PM coming with all of the data.
The poor fellow didn't have much to say on that one. Very Happy Very Happy

Us guys over here, are like a bunch of friends talking to each other, so I don't think that there will ever be a big blow up on the Nut.
We all respect the other guy too much for that.

Eric

I gotta agree with you Eric, we are all friends here. That's why I said it was minor and I was kidding around about it being a fracas. I've been around the huntingnut for some time and have never seen a blow up like that. I think people here at the Nut are more mature. Smile

Sure do...

1)Prepare a dinner that contains either mexican spices or black beans.

2)Hold the hat with a tight seal around yer butt cheaks

3)Use as much gas pressure as needed to form the hat to your newly swollen head. Dont be afraid to check for fit and finish frequently.

4)Get a picture once it fits. It prolly wont last very long, and someone may ask for proof.....
