Thanks Bushy,

Will powder from different lots significantly affect previously developed loads ? I would hate to lose the one I developed one for the 7mm-08 that put 4 shots inside a dime at 100 yds.

Best thing I can recommend is to load a few from a new lot number and test them. You are supposed to do that any way. In fact they want you to drop a small amount and work back up.

There probably is little or no difference from lot to lot now days with better manufacturing practices, but it's still a good idea to test new lots.

Thought that I would post a photo of some of my reloading results. Early results were promising, but mixed. I had read that I would find one load that the rifle really liked and that groups would shrink considerably. Well I believe that I found it !! It is a 5 shot group, shot at 100yds. with my Browning A-Bolt Micro in 7mm-08 using 140 grain Nosle Silver Ballistic Tips.

Yep.....I reckon that Bushy is right....you've found the load. Now all you gotta do is "drag" that bloody flyer into the group. Laughing

Well done mate.

That flyer...unless human error, means things aren't tuned yet.

load three rounds each at .3 or .4 grains above that load and the same amount below that load.

If your points of impact with those two loads do not fall within the same point of impact as THAT load does, then you've more work to do.

Group size isn't refined and flyers aren't cured with powder charge adjustments.........

Gidday wildswalker. How goes everything mate?

I find that with my groups the way to "fix" any flyers is to tighten the "nut behind the butt". Very Happy Laughing Human error is one of the hardest things to fix or correct. If anybody ever manages to do it, for goodness sake let me know the secret. Laughing
