Haven't heard of them, but looking at the blurb on them they seem to an interesting concept. Don't think they would be much good in a strongish wind though.

Cheers, Vince

I have been eying them up as well. I too wonder how well they work or if they're worth it.

I have a set of Walkers Game Ears. Love Em! I was young and stupid and shot ALOT with out ear protection, now paying for it with hearing loss. Sad If they work half as good as the Walkers, then your ahead. Very Happy

Knowing my luck, I would get a pair that is over amplified, so when a kangaroo mouse goes hopping by it will sound like a Tyranesauras Rex and I will end up running down the mountain screaming like something out of a Jerry Lewis movie. I also have eyed these, but I am too cheap to buy them. If you do get them, it sounds like a lot of folks are on the fence, I would think a product review would be welcomed on this site to let us know how well they work out.

I bought some electronic ear muffs (can't remember at the moment which ones) that I've used hunting. Seem to work OK and helped keep my ears warm too! Wind can be an issue but if it's that windy I probably won't see anything anyway. I got them specifically for hunting with the .44 Mag handgun (not that I've fired a shot at game with it yet) because I can't imagine touching that .44 off without some hearing protection. They do amplify the sound of critters in the woods pretty well.

This conjured up a vision that left me rolling on the floor in fits of laughter. I can still see Wiley runnin' flat strap down the side of the hill with his legs and butt overtaking him. wtf Shocked

Laughing Haha Laughing Haha

I agree with the idea of a review though. Damn good idea.

Cheers, Vince

I think you are right Vince, gravity is not as friendly to me as it once was. To reference an engineering term, I would pretty much be High Drag and Low Speed.
