From the info I got the 2200 was built in Canada under the Winchester name but your right, winchester will not acknowledge it's existence. What kind of Co. builds something and then won't acknowledge they did? It is a great pump shotgun by the way.

I like my Remngton 700 30-06- 1969 -made. Voere/Mauser 98 rebarreled / heavy with T (tight)chamber 22-250 is someting too. My fun gun is Arisaka 38 rebarreled 9.3x57. It is almoust deat caliber. I make cases from 8mm Mauser using means LEE universal case mouth expander die. Cases are cheap PRVI PARTIZAN / PPU made. Bullets 285 gr the same made or S&B, Cheap too. There no scope. I keep this gun only for funny shooting

One centrefire?
Don't torture me.
Everyone knows that there is no such thing as the alround centrefire.
Don't be satisfied until you have one of every calibre made from every manufacturer that existed. Choice is the spice of life.
Favorite Rifle?
Number 1.
Has to be my "HAPPY GUN" the one that puts an insatnt smile on my face. Makes me laugh every time I pull the trigger.
The first one I grab when I intend on going for a walk.
The one I pick up just to feel good.
The one I have to defend from my wife as she is now starting to get jealous of it. (She wants to carry and use it all of the time.)
The one that I will have to buy another of just so the happiness can be shared is a Marlin .444P

Browning 1885 High Wall in 7mm Rem Mag, I love it so much that when Browning quit building them I bought an extra.

I have seen them for sale at the Gun Shows here and some on the shelves

Henry rifles are too expensive for most of us. I know a couple of guys that use real Henry rifles but they take a lot of care and light loads. The breech blocks are suseptable to wear and the barrels don't shoot anything but black powder. I actually know more people who use Scheutzen rifles than Henry's.

Keetoowah, I assume you are talking about the new Henry rifles. They are decent guns from what I hear, I have never owned any. The Henry rimfire lever rifles are alright, but dont hold a candle to the guns they emulate, the now discontinued Winchester 9422. They sell for much less though. They have plastic barrel bands and a zinc alloy receiver cover(instead of steel) that is not rigidly affixed to the barrel, which is why the 17 HMR models have a bracket on the barrel that extends rearward for more solid scope mounting. I would recommend either a Winchester 9422 (i have 2 and love them) or a Marlin 39. As far as the centerfire big boy rifles, they are a lot heavier than their Winchester, Marlin and Rossi counterparts.

well I figured that the Henrys' history would have kept them in good competion with Browning and Winchester. I mean the Henry has been around awhile for hundred years or more. didnt know there was a "new" Henry.
but thanks for the info.

My Winchester model 70 in 30-06. Have shot half inch groups at 100 yards with it. Just wish they would start making them again.

Rob,

Talked to a Winchester repersenative in middle of March at the Sportsmans show here, he claims that in 2 years production will resume of all currently discontinued products. Smile
