TV shows and Magazine articles are the biggest culprit when it comes to recoil sensitivity, People see something over dramatized on TV and believe that is the way it must be, shoot, My sister in law asked me why my guns didnt rattle like the ones on TV???

Dallon has it right. Squeeze slowly until the handgun or rifle goes off and it SHOULD be a surpise. One small question Mr. Dallan...How do you squeeze off a snap shot at a running deer? I grew up in the Northwest and most of my shots were in tall timber and brush. I shot very few standing deer. Most were jumped at 35 yards or less. One of the few standing deer that I shot was at 4 yards. That's right, 12 feet. The buck was so deep in rut that he didn't know if he wanted to fight, ****, or run. I shot him in the head before he could make up his mind.

For me, the recoil velocity is the real killer. anything over about 21 is just not fun to shoot. If it has a blast that accompanies it then it is worse.
