Well I decided to get some Tung Oil and finish the case, should be done by Monday putting on a coat of the Tung Oil a day. Its going to look mighty "purdy". Laughing

I will. Very Happy

Although the stain isnt gonna be that even, the bottom (bigger block of wood) is made out of Bass and the top lid is made out of pine, so I'm going to most likly end up with a 2 tone effect on it. Smile

Not completed really, waiting for the finish to dry to post pictures. Smile

Decided not to finish it at first then decided out of the blue to finish it. So now I'm finishing the job so to speak. Smile

Looks nice after 2 and a half coats so I decided not to put anymore, the coats were on the outside, just put one light coat on the inside (didn't want to soak the foam or unglue the foam). Smile

Thats a fine looking case you have there dimitri. I'm sure that 50 years or when ever you retire, who ever you pass this on to will be proud to show it.
