Not sure if you are aware what a billy is so I tell ya... Laughing

A billy is a metal can, usually with a lid and a wire handle, but in days gone by (back in the days when men were men and pansies were flowers) more often than not they were home made. It would hold about a pint or more of water and was put on the fire to heat up, to make a cup of billy tea.

Tell me Vince if I ever went to Sidney they wouldnt look at me funny if I said "cuppa" for tea would they ?? Confused

Gidday Dimitri....sounds like what you have bought is what we call a billy. People in the big city, as a general rule, still understand the term cuppa....it is slang for a cup of tea, so no, you shouldn't get laughed at mate. Laughing
