Be sure to tell them that we all carry guns and everyone is real polite!
Maybe your leaders will get the idea.

Where are you at on Thursday Vince?
If anywhere near the east coast, I'll give you a wave out the window on my way down to Atlanta. |
Thursday I’m sitting on the beach in Waikiki Hawai’i. I flew out of New York on Tuesday on a direct flight to Honolulu. I’m here until Saturday morning at 09:30 when I board a flight for Auckland then Brisbane to end my epic adventure.
I’ll think of all you guys that are shivering as I sit on the beach with s nice cold drink (may well be beer) in my hand. |
Not that cold here today mate - I'm in Albuquerque, looking for wabbits.
Going shooting in the morning.
I hope you've had a truly fantastic time & that the memories give you great pleasure.

By the way, said American friends will be bringing a couple guns, would we just be allowed to shoot in the woods or at public ranges as foreigners, or would we be allowed to hunt as well? Thanks! |
Hi Goron & welcome to the 'nut.
This subject probably deserves a thread of its own, as it can get complicated.
I'm English & shoot in the US a lot.
I'll put some thought into this & see what I can put together.

Vince,
please let us all know when you make it back home. I'm sure your wife and family miss you and will be glad to have you back home again.
We're glad you got to come over to the states and see some really great places, and visit with a lot of different people.
God Bless you Vince! |
Well mate, I arrived home last night at about 10pm Aussie time...after getting up at 5am in Waikiki and flying out at 9:30am from Honolulu.
I honestly had concerns about how I would stand up to it, but I survived. I spent the last 4 days in Waikiki unwinding and relaxing after my hectic schedule of travelling around. Just bouncing (bobbing) around in the surf at Waikiki Beach was so relaxing, and the water was beautiful...I could have stayed there another week...or more.
Halloween in Waikiki was an amazing sight to see as we don't celebrate Halloween in Australia. The streets were full of people in fancy dress having a great time. There was everything from Disney characters to withches...a couple of 10 feet tall dinosaurs, including roars and a couple of chainsaw masacres complete with screaming chainsaws less the chains.
It's great to be back home with SWMBO and the grandkids...but I'm missing all you guys already. I would have loved to be able to spend at least a week and better a fortnight with each and every one of you, but due to financial constraints etc, it was not to be. I'm just thankful that I got to meet as many as I did on my trip.
Slim...that's just the way it panned out mate. Work must take precedence...it's your living and income.
I'm happy that I got to meet so many wonderful people...and also got to spoil the odd dog or two. I will never forget those of you I had pleasure of catching up with, the friendship and time you took to share with me and the time you took out of your busy life to spend with me. To all of those that accommodated me and allowed me to interrupt their lives, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have a wealth of magnificent memories to keep me going for many a looong day.
I would have loved to have touched base with every single Nut, but I reckon I would need at least 6 months and would only be halfway around the States by now, with heaps more to go...and would need about US$100,000 to cover costs. As it is I've put a massive dent in my bank account...but it was worth every single solitary cent. Now all I have to do is work out what I'm going to do with all the quarters, dimes and pennies I have left in my wallet.

Glad you made it home safe and sound Vince, and I know your family was glad to see you!
I'm glad you got to see and visit with the "nuts" you did, and had some time to yourself in Hawaii before heading back home.
Sounds like you had the vacation of a lifetime, and good for you! I'm sure you deserved it. You'll have memories to ponder over for a looking time.
Now, enjoy being back home with your family...

Hope you get it all sorted out Vince.
Myself, I am going to Jakarta this weekend, then Singapore, then back to Jakarta and then Bandung .
In Jakarta I would be attending a ASEAN Cutting Competition (Blade Sports) .

Yes mate...it will most definitely be a candidate for the “interesting basket” , that I can guarantee.
I’m missing all the great mutleys I met and “corrupted” along the way...they were fantastic.
Bushy, how’s your little fella going now mate...all good?

Thanks for asking. Kobe is back to chasing (read "herding") horses and barking at everything that moves.
