Well, things certainly went pear shaped for me in Dallas. Wednesday night I developed a toothache from hell, first toothache I’ve had in about 20 years. Luckily for me, our mate James (jeh7mmmag) was on the ball and remembered that one of the members of another forum he belongs to is a “fang farrier”...dentist. I can’t thank you enough James...goodness knows what I would have done without your guidance mate.
James dropped me off at the front door. They had a look, took some x-rays and after checking everything out said everything indicated the nerve in the tooth was “dying” and I would need a root canal treatment. So, at 8am this morning I was sitting in the chair getting holes bored in my head and the nerve removed.
It’s been a rather uncomfortable day, but I envisage everything will settle down in a few days, or at least I hope so.
Thank God for travel insurance...AUD$1900+, 100% covered

Vince,
I really enjoyed your visit even though we had to cut our time together short because of your dental needs on Thursday afternoon. Glad you took care of it. I was also glad to drop you off at dentist office and it was pretty close to your motel.
We still had a great time Thursday morning seeing Cabellas in Fort Worth. Wished we had some pictures of some of the game mount from across the world. It is amazing to see them and I enjoyed them as much as you did. There gun Library is also unbelievable with drilling, top end shotgun, matched pistols, historical weapons that won the west, military, etc. Then the regular gun section must be 3+ million dollar or more.
Again Vince, Glad to finally meet you and I admire you for taking the USA tour. Hope your trip to New York and meeting your daughter all goes well. Along with the best on the rest of trip.
Cheers,
James

Can’t afford to pull this one mate...it’s one of the mounting teefs for my upper partial denture.
Yep, it wasn’t cheap Slim, but it had to be done unfortunately...but luckily the travel insurance come good for me.

Glad to hear you got it fixed
Teeth things seem to happen at inappropriate times
and are totally unpredictable
My advice Vince is to keep your mouth shut as much as possible

Did you forget who you’re talking to?
Vince keeping his mouth shut (and his opinion in) might make his head explode.....

Oh wow that sucks. Just this past week I had a similar issue except the root canal had already been done several years ago, bit down on something and the tooth broke driving pieces into the gum - ouch. Saw the dentist on Wednesday to get it pulled then it got infected - fun.
Enjoy your trip Vince. No way I'd fly that far to visit some place - major motion sick troubles.

Mate, that sounds downright evil. I had a tooth crack up similar some years back and it took a couple of weeks for all the pieces to work their way up to be removed. You have my sympathy mate.
Thanks Darwin...the RC is done and pretty right now, but I have a horrible feeling there is more to come. I’ll get that sorted when I get home. In the meantime I’ll just keep a bottle of Advil ibrupofen in my bag.
Gee Pete...don’t wish that on me mate...I don’t even want to think about what that bugger would have in mind for the nether regions.
Off to Tulsa later on this morning to catch up with Deer Sniper.
