Not sure if you guys have been following events in thailand but there is team of teen boys and coach trapped 4kms down a cave system that is flooded,there has been one experienced diver die so far getting stuff in to them and tonight they are going to attempt to swim the boys out...some cant swim and in places the tunnels are so narrow they will need to take off scuba tanks to squeeze through....
who ever and where ever you are folks these lads need our help,get to praying and keep fingers crossed.

"According to the BBC, Tossathep Boonthong, chief of Chiang Rai's health department and part of the rescue team, says: "Two kids are out. They are currently at the field hospital near the cave." The boys are undergoing physical examination and have not yet been moved to Chiang Rai hospital yet.'

News this morning said four boys, the fittest and healthiest, are out, safe and well. They have to replentish the oxygen tanks along the route before they can start to move anymore boys out. There are experienced cave divers from a number of places around the world who have volunteered their time and experience to assist. Amongst these are an Australian Federal Police dive team with caving experience, the Thai Navy SEAL Team who unfortunately lost one of their members in the cave, the mine rescue team from South America who saved the Honduran (?) miners a couple of years back and other speleologists and cave diver experts from other countries...all who volunteered their services to try and save these boys.

They have an Australian Doctor with them who is also an experienced cave diver. He is experienced in the medical problems peculiar to cave diving. He is apparently helping to improve the boys health and wellbeing and assessing them prior to them attempting the swim out.

I think the whole world is sending prayers and well wishes for the safe extraction of these boys from this terrible predicament.

Saw an up-date that 8 boys are now out 7/9/18 7;30 am per fox news .

Its terrible the situation they are in, a miracle they are still alive. But I gotta say it feels my heart with joy to see people from all corners of the world come together in helping / aiding the rescue efforts. I do pray they all come out alive, its a huge effort from what I can see on the news. Divers placing / replacing tanks along the way.

Very sad about the rescuer who already died.

Another four boys safely extracted...awesome news. Things are on hold now so the divers can replenish the air tanks and retention the safety line and of course grab some recovery time themselves.

Word is that they can only bring four at a time, so there will be one remaining for the final push. I would imagine that this will be the adult coach.

The whole world is praying for a successful completion to this incredibly difficult rescue operation. All those involved from all the international communities are to be praised for their selfless commitment in an extremely dangerous job.

I've been trying to keep up with the news reports. Lots of people talking about it but I hear them say conflicting information which makes me think that some of the news sources are "guessing" at what is happening and who is coming out.

I'm still trying to figure out how they got so far back in the cave through at choke point of 18". I also was under the impression that the heavy rains that flooded the cave came in the entrance and pushed the team back further into the cave. I read this morning that the water levels in the cave rise and fall from the rain as the water migrates through the limestone mountain.

Some great news. It was just reported that all 12 kids plus their coach have successfully exited the cave system safe and sound. It is understood the coach is still at the Chamber Three Operation Base but will be exiting soon.

All have been taken to hospital with a couple showing signs of mild pneumonia...otherwise all are well.

A big attaboy with pats on the back all round for everybody involved in the extremely difficult rescue of these kids. All of the divers and the Aussie Doctor are to be congratulated for their determination in seeing this through to a successful completion. They all deserve any and all accolades headed in their direction...and I sincerely hope they are many because they have certainly earned them.
