Woah, you guys have to do safety inspections every 6 months???

Ours used to be yearly but for whatever reason I don't understand, they just eliminated it completely starting Jan 1 of this year. Works for me, I don't have to replace my busted front windshield in the commuter car.

That is certainly "innovative". Not sure if it would pass a safety inspection though. Having said that, if your welds are up to speed and solid, I can't see a major drama...it's certainly looks like it would be as strong as the factory mounts spot-welded to the chassis.

Every six months? Only time we have to do one is on the initial registration application or when you are selling a registered car at which time you have to provide a current Safety Certificate (pink slip). Mind you, the Transport Inspectors can pull any vehicle over and do a safety check on it at any time.

warrent of fitness for cars gets done every 6 months ..check brakes,lights tyre tread,seatbelts, horn,speedo,wipers...blah blah blah

with a new trailer its evey 12mths for 10?? years then 6mths there after

for heavy vechiles its same deal but called certificate of fitness so cof Vs wof

for our older fleet of cars and young people driving elcheaphos its a good thing as you know if it has a wof...well its pretty ok for now at least.
