Yes mate...when everybody comes out of hibernation.

Temps here are in the mid 30's Celcius, with woeful humidity, so we are suffering. I'm sweating like a fat lady in a wheely bin. Shocked Shocked Very Happy Very Happy

Wheely bin...Had to look that one up. You must have very big "wheely bins" in Australia or your fat ladies are very small.

In Sydney we have the record temperature being the hottest place on Earth at 47.3 C last Sunday.

We practically melted.

So lucky I got aircon and solar panels to pay for the electricity.

Just got heat again. My gas heater quit in October and I had to heat with baseboard heaters, which is ok but expensive. Had a skin cancer removed yesterday morning and the heater repair guy got here around 1 Pm, so a full day off work for me. So glad to get them both taken care of. Oregon coast weather supposed to be around 60 degrees and sunny this weekend, would love to go there and bask in the sun but now I have a giant bandage on my face and I don't wanna be seen.....oh well...

117 degrees in Sydney!!?? YUK!!! Head for the hills!! I love a photo from Geland's article. A picture of a guy that looked out the window to see how hot it was and half his face was burned to the bone, reminds me of Arizona summer. Never had an air conditioned car when I lived there and rolling down the windows while you drive is almost as bad as not rolling down the windows. Which is why most of my skin cancers are on the left side of my body, hanging my arm out the window while driving.

Was practically naked when I was kid riding horses and playin outdoors never bothered me. But it took it's toll on my skin that's for sure. I've seen lots of Mexicans and Indians with skin cancer and you just have to be born with the right type of skin to get to old age without problems. I've also seen lots of old weather beaten elders with no problems at all.

So far the winter has been mild here, sorry about the rest of the nation. Oregon is just north of Calif.'s fires and mud slides. A lot of those homes in Calif. are built on secondary sand dunes and when the fires blasted through there it took out the protection from rain the grasses and bushes provided. I guess Oprah is standin in mud too. Soon after her joke about running for president, here comes nature's reaction.....some people learn the hard way. She thinks she's found the answer to being fat and starts advertising for healthier eating and then she gets fatter. Poke the devil with a stick and a marshmallow and you get smores!

I love the parodies of her as president, handing out welfare checks to the audience and a new car for everyone, what a crack-up. Her and Bernie Sanders ought to do a documentary on Venezuela and how wonderfully crafty they're getting at trying to feed themselves, it would be a great introduction to the socialism utopia they're trying to force down our throats. They've been eating flamingos and stoning cattle to death and who knows what else. 75% of the population has lost 19 lbs from the food shortage. They have an inflation rate of about 800% and about a 85% poverty rate....lovely retirement community...I wanna spend my last days enjoying the luxury there.

Suz
