Humpty Dumpty had a great fall....

Well it wasn't really a great fall in fact it was plurry crappy. I managed to slip in the ice at the base and land on my noggin. I sustained a good concussion and the doc has put me on a month off for starters. CT scan is supposed to happen some time this week. All in all not good. i am up and around with a smashing headache, and feeling sick to my stomach all the time. My supervisor was standing not five feet away when I slipped at the front gate to the base but she had her back turned to me. I fell and she said it sounded like a melon being smashed (my melon). I came to hearing a woman off in the distance screaming my name and then I realized it was Betty. Anyways I'm still standing better than i ever was.... Opps Elton John slipping in there. Shocked

Well, ITD, it sound like you will get put back together again. Take it easy and go slow so you get well faster.

You were at the plant gate, so were you on plant property? Is this a work related incident?

WOW Ron, sounds like you were very lucky with the fall mate...it could have been a lot worse. Did you open yourself up, spring a leak mate? Maybe you need some hobnails on your boots to get some grip on ice patches.

Take it easy mate, head injuries can be nasty and unpredictable.

Yes I was on Coast Guard property and it is a work related injury. Yes I am following the doctor's instructions. No I do not have a bump per se , and I have a recurring pit of my stomach ache, headache and slightly blurred vision still after almost two weeks. Yeah, some hobnails would have been good. I spoke to my supervisor and she said that as far as she is concerned no more 'Cowboying Up' and Fido nonsense. She is right. F it Drive On. Time will heal me God willing if not I will be okay with that. Confused

Sorry to hear of your accident. Don't be in a hurry to get back at it. A shot to the noggin can cause all kinda weird stuff, so take it easy. Hoping for the best for you.
