wiersy111 dont feel too bad bud some of us are just having a dry patch deer wise Sad ...not a full blown drought yet but getting close. the dog starting to look sideways at me and although she hasnt said anything yet SWMBO must be starting to wonder what is actually going on when we say we off hunting as no venison coming home to fill freezer Sad

No worries Elvis I have no doubt i will kill something!!!! There's alway that dumb fuzzy faced fawn that won't go away. Our muzzle loader season can get cold and very snowy so I don't get too picky.

Yeah, I'm watching Suz. I will look further into the background to see if he is kosher or not.

EDIT: She is a hypnotist practitioner in Florida. Whilst the stuff posted in The Nut is sorta relevant to our sport, her website details some rather expensive courses of hypnotism for all different sorts of reasons. One consolation, and to her credit, she didn't include any links other than the WWW link to her website at the bottom.

It was an abnormally warm season. but someone let the bottom fall out of the thermometer now going to be -25F tomorrow night.

well ifn its that chilly......you will have to cuddle up to stay warm.
can you get your dog into stand with you?????
they will be great for keeping your toes warm and will let you know if anything moving around below...you can just sit back and read a book ....but then again ifn your dawg is any thing like mine it will be snoreing and not wake up untill you fire a shot lol

The penthouse is all closed up for the year deer hunting is over. Now to blast some coyotes and do some ice fishing.

We have had a bit of a cold snap here too. down to single digits a couple of times but mostly the low teens to 20F. We also got some much needed snow with 9 inches here at the homestead and a couple of feet in the foothills. Next week it's supposed to get into the 40's and maybe rain a little. That will get rid of the compact snow and ice on the roads that the snow removal folks can't scrape off. Then it will get cold again for a month or two.
Just remember, spring is coming! (for us in the top of the world)

33 c here today, roughly 90% humidity and to top it off a bloody big thunderstorm with golf ball sized hail.

My shed (12m x7.5m ) was ankle deep in water through to the back wall, apart from that all good. Lots of trees down in area.
Got a bit worried about the golf ball and bigger hail.
