Elvis,
What Vince said.
There some areas under Ipswich that are honeycombed with mines, some within 20 ft of the surface, they think.
There used to be a mines record place where you could check if the house you wanted to buy was anywhere near where the authorities though they had dug a mine.
The other place you checked before buying was the flood map from 1974.
I am nowhere near any mines old new or otherwise, if it floods I become an island.
I feel for the couple who now have an unwanted swimming pool eating their property, its possible it will eat their house.
Its not the first time this has happened and it won't be the last, old mines plus water equal sink holes and there are a lot of them.
Sprinkler?
Waters too bloody expensive here to spray on grass.

Vince are you sure it is not caused by a Scottish who was looking for the 20c coin he dropped while drunk in the party last weekend?

good to hear your place is safe.....
if your water is too costly to sprinkle the lawn/garden but house water doesn't cost.....poke garden hose into your bath water and turn hose on just enough to fill hose then disconnect from tap and it will syphon water back out of bath so you can poke it onto lawn/garden...works a treat as long as you have a little bit of fall . bugger all pressure but will make a 99cent sprinkler cover area 50 cm-1mtr around easy enough.

No need mate.
We have a home sewerage system that eventually pumps out "almost" drinkable quality water. Much better than grey and no smell.
As I have 2 teenage boys that need to be surgically removed from the shower before they dissolve and clog the drains, my grass, what bits I do have is green.
