Your pistol is much too violent for my delicate, pretty bullets.

Go out and get some 300gr gas-checkers to beat up on in that monster.

Anything that expells a 405gr slug is...well, violent. At least to us midgets anyways.

I tried the Berry's 115 gr. 9mm bullets out in my Ruger BH 357/9mm convertible had excellent results first time out I was just looking for a cheap plinking load. I picked up a box of the 124gr. HP's today hope to get some loads worked up in the next week or so.

10 shots @ 25'

Well it was a slow day so got my 9 mm 124 gr. HP load worked up shot several groups of 5 just like this so I'm good to go

Ok, I'm gonna resurrect this thread.

My local "go to" Gun Shop is importing Berry's Bullets and I'm thinking they might be worth trying in my 30.30 for plinking etc. has anybody tried the latest offerings for rifles from Berry's? I understand the velocity restrictions, which fit in with my plans anyway, and also the restrictions on crimping (I use a Lee FCD) so any advice is welcomed.

Vince, I have been using them in 9mm and they have worked without any wrinkles. Have not had any experience with their rifle bullets.

Use them in 380ACP and 40 S&W and no complaints thus far.

Thanks Slim and Dallan, they sound OK. My gun shop is charging $125/1000 so the price isn't too bad...I think I will give them a try.

I've only used them in 9mm in the past 5 months, but I like them!

Hm, another check shows the price is actually $199/1000...not sure that is really cost effective considering I already cast 150gr 30.30 flat nose bullets. Admittedly my cast bullets aren't "jacketed", but with the right alloy I can drive them reasonably hard.

You can plate your own. I haven't yet but the idea is interesting and the equipment and chemicals pretty cheap.

I used a bunch of berry's in the big pistols and never had a single problem with them. But casting my own was still cheaper. I am thinking about powder coating but that is going to take some research time that I just don't have right now.
