I get the odd one in my autoprime that doent quite go right in and wont let case out...count primers in pan and seat deeper if all in pan...often you drop second in behind first..so counting is very much a better option.

This happens to me now and then when priming brass that had crimped pockets that I swaged out. If priming on the press it means a die change.

MacD, enlarge the inlet of your primerpockets a little with your chamfering tool. You only have to do it once for each case and afterwards the primer will glide in easely.

Had one go in sideways a few times. I use the Lee priming die press mounted. Decided to try and set it off in my rifle. Yup...Even sideways they will fire.

Yup...Aloysius has it. Camfering tool solves that problem.

Donut Slayer,
How did you get the shell out of the shell holder? I can see how a primer might get seated side-ways ...so your experience will be valuable to someone, sometime. Thanks in advance.

Arlen...With the system I have for seating primers it's just a matter of forcing the primer until it is flat enough to be removes from the shell holder. I have the full force of the press ram to do this.

I just switched to the de-capping die. Pushed it right out. I didnt want to chance crushing the primer in the pocket.
